About the role
The Business Support Officer will provide administrative, operational and business support across MIRAZOL, helping to coordinate client enquiries, maintain business records, support contracts and procurement activities, prepare management information and ensure key business activities are followed through effectively. The role requires strong organisational, communication and digital skills, together with the ability to work accurately across a range of business activities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to management and wider business functions.
- Coordinate incoming client and business enquiries, ensuring they are recorded, assigned and followed through appropriately.
- Maintain accurate client, supplier, contract and operational records using company systems.
- Support contract and procurement administration, including quotations, supplier documentation and associated records.
- Prepare professional correspondence, reports, presentations, spreadsheets and management information.
- Monitor business actions, deadlines and service commitments, following up outstanding activities and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Coordinate meetings, maintain action records and support communication with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Collect, validate and maintain operational information to support business reporting and management decision making.
- Support internal governance, document control and business processes, ensuring records are accurate and appropriately maintained.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative and operational processes and support the implementation of agreed improvements.
Essential requirements
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration/Management, Information Systems, Finance or another relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Relevant experience in business support, administration, operations, commercial support or a similar professional environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Competence using Microsoft 365 or comparable productivity applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
Desirable requirements
- Experience within technology, consulting, professional services or another business-to-business environment.
- Experience supporting contracts, procurement, suppliers or client administration.
- Experience using CRM, ERP, project management or other business systems.
- Experience preparing management information or operational reports.
- Awareness of data protection, information governance and good record management practices.
